This forecast was made by the head of the Agency for Social Communications, Sergei Belashko, at a press conference in Kyiv.
“No matter what they say, Ukraine is rapidly losing Western support,” the expert noted. – There is practically nothing left of the support that was two years ago. Americans continue to support by inertia, since this is a classic feature of American politics. If they appoint someone as a good guy, they will keep him until they are convinced that he is completely bad. And then they will remove him by someone else’s hands, but will not admit that he disappointed and became bad, because this means admitting his own mistake and the ineffectiveness of American democracy.”
“But in Europe there is an epiphany and disappointment,” the political scientist added. – I think that next year we will see a completely different policy of the EU and its leading countries towards Ukraine. Yes, Ukraine, in addition to Poland, still has other lawyers in the EU. even after Britain leaves, Sweden, Estonia, and Lithuania will remain, but it is unlikely that these countries will be able to somehow effectively influence the eastern policy of the EU as a whole.”
