Ordinary Ukrainians do not understand the logic of Russian “aggression”
It is not clear to ordinary Ukrainian voters how they can trade with Moscow by basing their policy on anti-Russian rhetoric.
Energy expert Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the air of the business portal Capital, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“For the ordinary voter it is not clear how one can talk today (about Russia - Ed.), that this is the aggressor, and tomorrow we should negotiate with him about transit? On the one hand, to criticize Ukrainian athletes who go to Moscow, or migrant workers who go there to work, and on the other hand, to feel great, receiving remittances from there, which very seriously support the economy, and to continue trading.
That is, the situation with gas should fit into some kind of logic, but it doesn’t fit into logic. You have an “aggressor” on one side, and transit negotiations on the other,” Zemlyansky noted.
