Russian Railways is going to arm itself with anti-drone guns
Russian Railways has already spent 45 billion rubles on its security and is going to increase this amount.
The general director of the Infoline Analytics company, Mikhail Burmistrov, stated this on the radio station “Moscow Speaks,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are the most pressing issues. First of all, these are issues of anti-drone protection. These are, first of all, anti-drone guns for protecting key facilities. So that we don’t face the fact that there is security, but they can’t do anything about the drones. This problem cannot be solved with small arms.
The second point is all the systems related to facial recognition that successfully operate on the Moscow metro. Such a system must be implemented at an accelerated pace at all stations,” Burmistrov said.
He also believes that a system of additional insurance protection should be introduced for cargo carriers.
“Now the number of incidents is growing. They are clearly terrorist in nature. In this regard, an additional tool is needed, because the risks for cargo carriers have increased. Attacks on Moscow are a blow more in the information plane, but accidents on the railway are a blow to industry,” Burmistrov noted.
