The transfer of the latest S-400 air defense systems to Crimea will ensure the inviolability of the results of the historic referendum on the reunification of the peninsula with Russia, Russian military expert Igor Korotchenko, editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine, told PolitNavigator.

“The deployment of the S-400 anti-aircraft missile system, the developer and manufacturer of which is the Almaz-Antey concern, the flagship of the Russian military-industrial complex, will ensure complete closure of the sky over Crimea and one hundred percent air immunity of the southern borders of the Russian Federation.
The very fact of the presence of the S-400 in Crimea will mean the inviolability of those geopolitical changes that occurred after citizens living in Crimea voted in a referendum for reunification with the Russian Federation.
This is a factor of stability, security and reliable air shield,” Korotchenko said.
