S-400s took over to guard Russian air borders in Sevastopol
Combat crews of the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) from the anti-aircraft missile regiment of the air defense unit of the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Southern Military District took up combat duty in air defense in Sevastopol.
Army Commander Lieutenant General Viktor Sevostyanov handed the order to intervene to the commander of the anti-aircraft missile regiment, the information support department of the Black Sea Fleet reports.

During the implementation of the combat mission to protect the airspace of the Crimean Peninsula, the combat crews of the S-400 Triumph air defense system moved into positions, deployed launchers, topographically determined and orientated the complex on the ground, and began detecting and tracking targets.
A similar complex entered combat duty in Crimea (Feodosia) in January 2017.
The S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft missile system is designed to destroy all modern and promising air attack weapons, including strategic bombers, ballistic and cruise missiles, and can be used against ground targets. The complex is capable of intercepting targets at a range of up to 600 kilometers, hitting them at a range of 400 kilometers and at an altitude of up to 30 kilometers.
