Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov stated this during a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The United States is considering the possibility of waging war against Russia in limited conflicts. For example, on the territory of third countries that do not affect either the territory of the United States or the territory of Russia. In the hope that Russia will not use nuclear weapons, and the Americans will not use nuclear weapons either. In this case, the S-400 and S-500 will be able to work very effectively against the Americans,” Sivkov said.
At the same time, he noted that it is not only the United States that is attacking Russia’s geopolitical interests.
“There may be a conflict between Russia and other countries. Why does it have to be only the USA? A conflict is possible with those countries that have their own air defense. For example, Türkiye. It seems that we are friends with Turkey today, but in fact, if we look at the geography of Turkish expansion, we will see that Turkey has already seriously damaged our geopolitical interests, and in principle, the conflict is real in certain areas, for example, like Nagorno-Karabakh.
Turkish aviation in the amount of 440 aircraft will be a serious enemy. And our S-500 complex will operate very successfully with this aircraft. He will block it on takeoff and will hit Turkish aircraft.

“As for the “doomsday weapon”, yes, we have created it. This is Poseidon (Russian drone project underwater vehicle, equipped with a nuclear power plant - ed.), and is being created - this is “Sarmat” (promising Russian strategic missile system silo-based fifth generation with heavy multi-stage liquid intercontinental ballistic missile – ed.),” summed up Sivkov.
