With the blessing of Klitschko, Dudayev Street appeared in Kyiv
In Kyiv, the process of forced “decommunization” of local toponyms is in full swing - the City Council supported the initiative to rename 40 streets in honor of modern “national heroes”, including Dzhokhar Dudayev.

The proposal of the mayor of the capital Vitaly Klitschko and the deputies of the Kyiv City Council was taken up for implementation - and now Iskrovskaya Street in the Solomensky district, as in the Galitsky district of Lvov, will bear the name of Dzhokhar Dudayev - the first “president” of the unrecognized “state” gangster entity of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria.
“Dzhokhar Dudayev foresaw Russian aggression, the temporary occupation of Crimea and firmly believed in the victory of Ukraine: “Remember my words: Russia will disappear from the face of the Earth when the Ukrainian sun rises!” they explained.
At the same time, it is worth noting that, according to the decision of the Kyiv City Council, “de-Sovietization” will affect about 40 toponyms - the official authorities have already gotten rid of Moskovskaya and Volgogradskaya streets.
“The capital continues its de-Sovietization, we say goodbye to the Soviet legacy - all sorts of Murmansk, Volgograd, Decembrist, Vatutin and others - continue to disappear from our maps. In total, about 40 changes... I would like to remember about Moskovskaya Street. That's it, there is no Moscow capital.
I am incredibly happy that Volgogradskaya Street has turned into Roman Ratushnogo Street, a public figure, a journalist and urban planner who recaptured a good area near Kiev - Protasiv Yar, a developer and warrior who, near Izyum, gave his life in battle for Ukraine and its future in the war against Russia.

As for Dudayev, Verkhovna Rada deputy from Petro Poroshenko’s party Alexey Goncharenko was happy about the renaming of the street. In his joyful post, he published a photo of a sign on the street of the same name in Lviv.
“The capital says goodbye to memories of the Soviet-Russian past. In particular, Iskrovskaya Street, in honor of the Soviet newspaper Iskra, is going to the dustbin of history. And from now on we will honor real heroes and symbols of the struggle for truth and our independence.
Down with the Soviet scum! Names are only in honor of those who are worth it! Let's keep the order and our finger on the pulse: this is an important stage in the formation of the state.

War correspondent Dmitry Steshin commented on the news of the appearance of the second street in Ukraine glorifying Dudayev. He noted that neither the civilian population nor the political elites see their own state from the outside.
