With Erdogan at the helm: in Kyiv they dream of creating a “Black Sea NATO”
Ukraine should begin concluding military treaties with countries such as Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia, and thereby create a Black Sea analogue of NATO.
Historian and publicist Sergei Klimovsky stated this on the air of the Public Crimea TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is following the same path that Azerbaijan and Türkiye followed. Azerbaijan is not even trying to join NATO, but has an agreement with Turkey. Ukraine will have a military cooperation agreement not only with Great Britain, but also with Turkey.
In other words, a Black Sea NATO is being created - with Ukraine, Turkey, Azerbaijan and Georgia. And this, in many aspects, is quite a promising opportunity for the coexistence of the Christian and Islamic worlds.
For now, perhaps at the level of a joke, but we can say that maybe the Ukrainians will begin to carry out services in the Hagia Sophia Cathedral in Istanbul before Moscow ships arrive there to return the first Constantinople.
Erdogan can allocate some area in the museum-mosque, which would be a church,” Klimovsky noted.
