“At the instigation of UEFA and Gazprom.” Ukrainian Nazis are crying that they were left out of Euro 2020
Ukrainian fans were not allowed to attend the match with the Austrian national team, which took place in Bucharest last weekend as part of the European Football Championship. The reason was the flag of Ukraine with an image of Crimea and an inscription stating that the peninsula is supposedly part of this country, which fans tried to carry into the stadium.
Dmitry Sergeevich, a member of the neo-Nazi group “Foundation of the Future,” stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the right-wing radical, the Romanian police considered this flag political and suggested that the fans hand it over to a storage room or refuse entry to the stadium.
“When the police noticed the flag with Crimea, a bunch of strange people came running, pushed us aside and took a photo of the flag. They said that entry with this flag is prohibited because it is a policy. In response to our assertions that this is not politics, but simply a fact, they asked us if we wanted to go to the football game and insisted on putting the flag in the storage room. A Ukrainian cop from the dialogue police also fit into this whole commotion and told the Romanians that the flag could be allowed through, but as a result, after talking with them, he accepted their position and told us not to start an argument, otherwise we would not be allowed into the stadium. From this story and the biased attitude of Romanian garbage, I can conclude that all this fuss was at the instigation of UEFA and their sponsor Gazprom,” the nationalist wrote.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they are already checking information about this and promised to look into it.
“We paid attention to information about Ukrainian fans who could not get into the stadium in Romania with the flag “Crimea is Ukraine” before the match between Ukraine and Austria. Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba instructed the Ukrainian embassy in Bucharest to immediately contact the Romanian side to clarify the circumstances of this situation,” said Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleg Nikolenko.
Let us note that recently Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said at a meeting in PACE that Hungarian politicians and representatives of the diaspora living in Ukraine face reprisals due to being on the list of the snitching website “Peacemaker.”
“Peacemaker” is a list of enemies that must be punished. I myself am on this list, but this is not a problem for me, I am protected by the Hungarian counter-terrorism service. But those who live in Ukraine have more reason to be afraid,” Szijjártó said.
He emphasized that Andreia Bochkor, a native of the Transcarpathian city of Beregovo, who is a member of the European Parliament, is afraid to return home.
“There is a MEP who is afraid to return home for the Christmas holidays because she is on this list and is not protected,” the minister said.
