Dmitry Razumkov, director of the Ukrainian political consulting group, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There has been a consolidation in the hands of the president of all law enforcement agencies that are involved in special operations and military operations in eastern Ukraine. This is good. Yes, there is a certain risk in the usurpation of power, which many are talking about today; let’s hope that the presidential administration will not think of this and will not follow the path of its previous colleagues. Why is it good? With the complete transfer of authority there will also be a transfer of responsibility. I understand that not everyone in the BPP likes this, but we have to take responsibility. But with responsibility everything is much worse. We had quite serious miscalculations at the front during these years of war. And so far no one has been held responsible either for Ilovaisk, or for Debaltsevo, or for less resonant mistakes during the hostilities. Yes, we have a fairly serious enemy, but, nevertheless, no one has relieved the so-called father-commanders of responsibility. And behind every mistake there are human lives and the health of our fellow citizens,” he said.
