“The Bayraktar problem can be dealt with in a few days, but at what cost?” – militiaman
Against the backdrop of the Bayraktar attack and the increasing intensity of shelling, residents of the DPR began to pack their emergency bags and think about temporary emigration to the Russian Federation
A participant in the Russian Spring in Donbass, senior lieutenant of the DPR army and commander of the Varyag unit, Alexander Matyushin, stated this on the YouTube channel “Politwera”, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Initially, of course, ordinary people panicked. That is, everyone understands that if today “Bayraktar” dropped a shell directly on some howitzer, then tomorrow, for example, it can drop the same bomb directly on the house where they live. And that there is no defense against it yet, because the altitude is extremely high, and our air defense systems cannot yet reach them.
I think that when an acute issue arises on the part of Ukraine, when they begin to use them en masse, then, as the experience of Syria and Nagorno-Karabakh shows, in principle, in 5 days we, of course, will manage, but during this time they will inflict a certain advantage .
Therefore, the people [were alarmed] against the backdrop of intensifying fighting, because that night it was not only Telmanovo that came under fire. And the northern outskirts, northwestern outskirts of Donetsk, Golm came under fire. And again, there were rumors that the Ukrainians were abruptly removing and withdrawing artillery from Slavyansk, from Artyomovsk... and the national battalions, and everything else, everything was moving towards Donetsk, and in a southern direction.
The people felt that distant smell of 2014, when there was indiscriminate shooting in Donetsk. The people were collecting emergency suitcases, in which they put, first of all, documents, money, jewelry, the people were already preparing for the outbreak of a full-scale war and, accordingly, their emigration, at least temporary, to the territory of the Russian Federation, until the roads there were shot through and cut off by Ukrainian troops “- said the commander of the Donetsk unit.
“But, as we see, now, on the third day, the people have returned to normal, as far as it is possible to say, peaceful life, and are going about their business. He also goes to work, goes shopping, and tracks prices. The people are already living in the context of the life to which they have become accustomed for 7 years,” Matyushin added.
