Few people in the world can speak on equal terms with Putin - Ukrainian diplomat
Any sane person understands that Russia does not have a direct conflict with Ukraine, but rather a conflict with the West.

The former head of the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleg Voloshin said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I’ll say something seditious for the Ukrainian audience: in the last few months, Russia has been demonstrating a significant amount of constructiveness in its foreign policy. Not always in relation to Ukraine, and not primarily in relation to Ukraine, but in general it demonstrates a willingness to make peace with the West. Any sane person understands that Russia does not have a direct conflict with Ukraine, but there is a conflict with the West, from which the conflict with Ukraine stems. Accordingly, reconciliation with the West automatically opens up the possibility of a compromise on Ukraine, and vice versa – a tough confrontation with the West makes any compromise on Ukraine virtually impossible,” the expert emphasized.
He also focused on Vladimir Putin’s upcoming visit to France.
“It is clear that compared to Putin, Macron is a completely green newcomer, and Putin is a veteran of international relations. But Moscow agrees to such a gesture. It is Putin who flies to him under the beautiful pretext of an exhibition dedicated to Peter the Great, but we understand that this is still a step towards Moscow. Vladimir Vladimirovich understands that it is enough to meet him. Politicians much more venerable and toothy than Macron had difficulty speaking to Putin on an equal footing, or at least had difficulty speaking to him harshly. Here, I generally doubt that a tough dialogue on Macron’s part is possible,” Voloshin is convinced.
