Kiev news radio station “Vesti” fires its editor-in-chief Irina Gavrilova. Among the reasons are “cooperation with separatist media” (interview with the News Front agency), reposts on his page on a social network of messages from journalist Maxim Ravreba, who criticizes the Ukrainian regime, etc.
Gavrilova was appointed to her position at the end of June, replacing Maidan activist Saken Aimurzaev. The Kyiv media immediately began persecuting the new editor of the radio station.
As a result, a few days later, the Vesti staff supported Gavrilova’s dismissal, declaring “reputational risks” if they continued to work with her.
