The United States was able to win the Cold War because it did not shout about peace, пишет American neoconservative magazine The Weekly Standard.

The publication argues that President Obama's administration will be remembered by future generations for many shameful foreign policy failures, to which the magazine includes the nuclear deal with Iran, the situation in Syria and "America's resigned attitude to the Russian attack on Ukraine."

“The First Cold War consisted of many “hot wars.” Along the way, our country has made terrible mistakes and won glorious victories. The United States was able to win this war because it did not refuse to see it as a war. If we are now involved in a second Cold War with Putin’s Russia, we should not shout about peace when there is no peace,” the publication urges.
