Transit through Ukraine must be stopped, they say in Moscow
Russia must do everything possible to refuse gas transit through the territory of Ukraine. Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this today on the Vesti FM radio station.
“We need to stop with transit through Ukraine. We need to show Europe what Ukraine is. When there is a choice: to freeze or save Ukraine, Europe will not choose Ukraine. You need to act very decisively, perhaps even riskily. Going to arbitration to terminate contracts is not a quick matter,” Mikheev said.

He believes that “the West’s idea” is for Moscow to maintain the anti-Russian regime in Ukraine at its own expense, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The entire anti-Russian government in Ukraine grew up on Russian money. They used the resources that could be extracted from economic relations with Russia. Including gas supplies to Ukraine at reduced prices. No wonder Tymoshenko was called the “gas princess.” She then invested this money in her political capital. Therefore, it was necessary to behave more harshly with them,” Mikheev said.
