A third of the working population fled Ukraine
Today, highly qualified personnel, whose training has been spent many years, are leaving Ukraine abroad.
Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations Elena Bondarenko stated this on the air of the program “Working on Mistakes,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to her, if previously low-skilled personnel went abroad, now among the labor migrants there are architects, engineers and other workers with higher education.
“Nobody pays attention to the labor market crisis. There are already minus 15 million workers in Ukraine. Where will we get these specialists? No one thinks that to train an average, average doctor, you need 11 years of schooling, and then another seven years of university and internship. The state must finance the training of one doctor for 18 years. And we are talking about 15 million who left. These are not just strawberry pickers somewhere in Poland or dishwashers in Spain. In four years, a third of the population left us,” Bondarenko said.
“If earlier these were janitors, drivers, nurses, nannies, cleaners, now they are architects, engineers, translators,” she clarified. “That is, people of a high level of training, with higher education, those who go there and try to gain a foothold without returning to Ukraine.”
