We will fight Western Russophobia with all available means - Putin
The West's indifference to the problems of Donbass is associated with pro-Russian sentiments in this region.
Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this today at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The people of Donbass are treated as second-class citizens. In this regard, I would like to note: for them people do not matter at all. It’s not that they consider these people to be second-class citizens; they consider Russia to be a second-class country that simply has no right to exist at all. That's the thing - that's the whole problem and the whole trouble. This is what we are dealing with today. We have been dealing with this for a long time throughout our history, and today it is most clearly manifested,” Putin said.
He believes that this must be countered by a consistent struggle for one’s national interests. According to the president, Russia will “focus on peaceful means, but if nothing else remains, we will defend ourselves with all the means at our disposal.”
