Saakashvili goes to Ukraine to bury Poroshenko
The return of the former President of Georgia and ex-governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili to Ukraine, announced by him personally, is nothing more than a clearly thought-out US campaign against the current President Petro Poroshenko.
Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko said this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Mr. Saakashvili is part of the Ukrainian political elite. De facto, he remains her. And its current function is very simple. Why is he going to Ukraine on April 1? Act as the “political gravedigger” of Petro Poroshenko. These are the paradoxes of modern Ukrainian politics, when one of the closest friends, a political ally, an appointee of the PP, having gone through a complete break and enmity with him in the history of relations, is ready to act as a “political gravedigger.”
By the way, these statements by Saakashvili were made for a reason. In fact, he accuses Petro Poroshenko of high treason, expressed in the fact that he took absolutely no real action to protect the sovereignty of Ukraine in Crimea. High treason, expressed in the fact that in fact there was an exchange of the political future of the PP, its course towards imaginary integration into the European Union, and so on, in the fact that it surrendered Crimea, gave it, in fact, to the Russian Federation.
And this is very serious. Because for these people, Ukrainian, so-called “jingo-patriots”, nationalists, who today are disrupting rallies held by the current president of Ukraine, such accusations against him will only, on the contrary, unite the core of Ukrainian nationalists controlled Avakov, who, in fact, today are working against the current President of Ukraine.
The most interesting question - look at the ticket that Saakashvili showed, it was issued in New York, the office of the Polish airline Lot. Then he flies, obviously, to Warsaw, and then to Ukraine. What does it say that all this is done from the USA. The states are betting not only on Saakashvili, they are playing a multi-move game - they are ready to hand over Poroshenko,” he said.
Korotchenko also spoke about the scandal with playing a song in one of the supermarkets in Odessa about Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“I want to say that Putin is popular even among officers of the Security Service of Ukraine. Because when going to some corporate events, sources said, they put on “Batyanya Battalion Combat” in Russian, and the conversation inside, when there are no controlling structures there, is very simple: “What do we have this Poroshenko? We would like a president like Putin: decisive, strong-willed, who would be respected by the intelligence services,” the expert noted.
In addition, Vladimir Oleynik, a member of the Verkhovna Rada of previous convocations, also spoke out in support of the previous speaker.
“Unfortunately, Ukrainians have this mentality: for someone to come and complete a difficult task. We hoped for Obama, Biden, Merkel - but no one can cope with this pack of scoundrels. They look: “Or maybe Putin?” And I think the Ukrainian people will soon ask for help,” the politician concluded.
