Saakashvili himself announced this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, Poroshenko’s representative came to the protesters’ camp and suggested that Saakashvili switch the protest to other figures, and also put a taboo on criticism of corruption in the defense sector.
“Three days ago, a person whom I know well came to me, he talked with the inner circle of Pyotr Alekseevich, and he conveyed to me a message from Pyotr Alekseevich... There are two demands for me: first, I must attack Yulia Tymoshenko, because Tymoshenko is not for him I like it... I’m not some kind of Lyashko, to attack someone on the order of Poroshenko or someone else... The second thing he told me is an absolute taboo, that I have no right to touch upon corruption in the defense sector. If I do not fulfill these two conditions, it was conveyed to me very clearly, they pointed out to me the fate of three Georgians, who were seized on the street absolutely lawlessly without trial or investigation and deported to Georgia,” Saakashvili said.
