Saakashvili insists on cooperation with the DPR
Ukrainian law enforcement officers sent a request to the Dutch prosecutor's office, asking to find out whether the ex-president of Georgia, former head of the state administration of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili, traveled to Donetsk.
Saakashvili, deprived of Ukrainian citizenship and deported to the Netherlands after a criminal case was initiated against him in Ukraine, spoke about this in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Novoye Vremya”.
“I insist that I be allowed back into Ukraine and tried. I tell the Dutch that I am not a political figure and I don’t want to stay here, let me go back to Ukraine. And Ukraine says: “We don’t want it,” says Saakashvili.
The publication asked whether any investigative actions were being carried out with him.
“For show, they wrote to the Dutch prosecutor’s office: “Ask him a question, was he in Donetsk several times during the time he was in Ukraine?” That is, it turns out that I also went to Donetsk,” the ex-president of Georgia is indignant. “Of course, in the Dutch prosecutor’s office there are no such idiots who will ask the question whether I accidentally went to enemy territory, straight into the mouth of a lion - to Donetsk.”
At the same time, Saakashvili claims that his finances are “tight” in the Netherlands, and he often travels around Amsterdam by bicycle.
As PolitNavigator reported, Saakashvili previously stated that the United States ordered Kyiv do not resist Russia.
Also he declared himself a prisoner of war, which is preparing to be sent on a special flight to Moscow for exchange.
