Saakashvili called the outcome of the Olympics a disaster for Ukraine
The results of the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro are catastrophic for Ukraine, said the governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili.

“Catastrophically bad results of Ukraine at the Olympics. We were ahead of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Hungary, Cuba, Kenya, Jamaica and other countries much smaller than Ukraine both in size and potential. Georgia, which is ten times smaller, has almost as many medals as Ukraine.
The funny thing is that our results do not reflect the huge sports potential of Ukraine at all. Usually, after such a failure, at least the Minister of Sports should resign. I suspect that under the terms of the agreement under which the government was formed, this will not happen,” Saakashvili wrote on Facebook.
