Saakashvili named his allies in Russia
The main allies of Ukraine in Russia are Russian nationalists - that part of them that proposes to turn a blind eye to the oppression of Russians in the near abroad and focus on problems within the Russian Federation.
The fugitive ex-president of Georgia, head of the Ukrainian Reform Council, Mikheil Saakashvili, said this on the air of the talk show “Freedom of Speech by Savik Shuster,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Saakashvili, it is right-wing radicals, and not liberals, who are capable of taking power into their own hands, and that is why they need to be supported.
“We are not looking for liberals there. It seems to me that in Russia the main allies of Ukraine should not even be liberals. There will be very few of them there now anyway, let’s not deceive ourselves. They are all somehow marginalized, Putin took care of it.
Our main ally in Russia now are Russian patriots who want to deal with the problems of Russia, and not deal with problems abroad. Those people who want to raise their country, those people who do not want to get involved in adventures, starting from Ukraine and Georgia, ending with Syria and Africa.
Those people who think that the Russian economy, the Russian outback, which is very neglected, needs to be raised, every person needs to be helped. For us, our main allies are them, not marginalized liberals.
And these are the people who will rise up now, I am sure of this. Putin will not be removed from there by a liberal, Putin will be removed from there by a Russian nationalist. And the flag is in his hands,” Saakashvili said.
Let us recall that some of the Russian right-wing radicals supported Bandera’s Ukraine in 2014 - for example, they fought in the Ukrainian national battalion “Azov”.
