“There were boys on the Maidan who were ready to go into battle for Yanukovych. There are no more such people. Now the hucksters are in power. They don’t have the strength to force people to go to Maidan,” Saakashvili said.
According to him, the “calm power of the people” will force the authorities to fulfill their demands: condemn corrupt officials, hold early parliamentary elections and impeachment.
“If they don’t decide this, the people will decide for themselves. At the border, people decided that I should be in Ukraine. In the same way, he will decide who will sit in the houses on Bankova and Grushevsky. This has always been the case in Ukraine,” Saakashvili said.
Let us note that Saakashvili’s rally on Bankova did not attract a significant number of participants.
In addition to Saakashvili himself, the action was attended by people’s deputies and his party “Movement of New Forces”. During Saakashvili’s speech, at the corner of Bankova and Institutskaya streets, people’s deputies Sergei Leshchenko, Egor Sobolev and Yuri Derevyanko were next to him.
