On Tuesday, the head of the Moldovan city of Balti, Renato Usatii, said that Moldova was preparing a decision to appoint Saakashvili as prime minister. He noted that Saakashvili had already received the appropriate permission from Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, and this issue had also been agreed upon with the US State Department.
“I really sympathize with Moldova and wish it success, but I am not an on-call civil servant,” Saakashvili writes on his Facebook page.
