Saakashvili voiced another revelation of Poroshenko
The referendum on joining the EU announced by Petro Poroshenko is a way to fool pro-Western voters; in fact, Ukraine is extremely far from joining the European Union.
The former President of Georgia, the organizer of the current protests near the Verkhovna Rada, Mikheil Saakashvili, stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, all post-Soviet countries have today overtaken Ukraine in terms of GDP, and the closest European neighbors, who were many times poorer at the time of the collapse of the USSR, are now many times overtaking Ukraine.

“Let's talk about how close we are to Europe. In Ukraine, GDP per capita is 2 thousand dollars, in neighboring Poland – 12 thousand, in the Czech Republic even more, and so on. Poland is growing at twice the rate we are, Romania, which was much poorer than us, is growing at a rate five times faster in terms of GDP than Ukraine, despite the fact that it is already richer than Ukraine. Ukraine is growing slower than 90% of European countries. Europe is going in one direction, Ukraine is going in another direction, no matter what referendums you hold,” Saakashvili said.
