Saakashvili is now inciting Moldova to a coup
Russian President Vladimir Putin is behind all the changes in the political life of Moldova in recent years.
The former President of Georgia and Governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili, stated this on air on the Moldovan Jurnal TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Putin played a primitive, but very successful “two-mover” with Moldova. He got rid of Plahotniuc. Plahotniuc was a greedy oligarch who did a lot of bad things, but he was not completely pro-Moscow. Of course, he had connections there, like all shady people, but he was not completely under the Kremlin. And the Kremlin decided to get rid of him.
He reached an agreement with the Europeans and Americans, and brought to power in Moldova the government of Maia Sandu, which was completely anti-Kremlin and anti-Putin. But Putin knew what the Americans and Europeans did not know; he had all the tools to prevent the Sandu government from working. As a result, Putin later got rid of Sandu and finally brought his people.
He did the second stage without the Americans and Europeans, and again he fooled everyone. Not because he is so smart, but because we are all so weak. Because Europe and America also cannot focus,” Saakashvili said.
He hopes that the emerging economic crisis will help the “non-Soviet youth of Moldova” to overthrow the “politics of Soviet society” President Igor Dodon and take power.
