After the breach of the state border by supporters of ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, the European Union may cancel the visa-free regime with Ukraine.

Former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Svyatoslav Piskun stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, the ease with which the Ukrainian state border was breached may prompt the EU to think about the unreliability of the “independence”.

“Now they will say: “Yeah, look, if one and a half to two thousand people and five people’s deputies can afford to cross the border anywhere, tomorrow they will push some car with something into the territory of Poland or another country, and that we then shall we do it?” A country where laws do not work, a stone that flies from a mountain gains more and more momentum, and this mountain can collapse. A small failure to comply with laws leads to a large failure to comply with laws. If the Prosecutor General cannot assess all this, figure it out and say that this will not happen again, then the European Union, you will see, will seriously think about whether they made a mistake. In a country where there is no rule of law, provide a visa-free regime for a country of 45 million,” Piskun said.
