Saakashvili will have to surrender his ticket to Kyiv
The leadership of the State Border Service of Ukraine, appointed by Petro Poroshenko, stated that ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, who announced his possible visit to Ukraine, has no reason to do so legally, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About it reported on the department's website.
“This person illegally crossed the state border from Poland to Ukraine in September 2017. This is confirmed by the decisions of the local and appellate courts,” the statement says.
Earlier, Saakashvili announced that he had already purchased a ticket to Kyiv. He plans to return to Ukraine after the ban on entry into the country is lifted. Mikheil Saakashvili filed a petition with the SBU to lift the ban on him from entering the country.
Vladimir Zelensky himself announced his intention to make personnel changes in the border service and believes that “Saakashvili’s experience can be useful to Ukraine.”
