Saakashvili intimidated Pashinyan
Former President of Georgia and ex-head of the state administration of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili is “very rooting” for the new Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan.
He stated this on the air of the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“I think he's doing everything right. The only thing: he needs to change the system. For now, his orders will be carried out by the old law enforcement officers, but they are definitely preparing a war against him. He should have dissolved this parliament on time. Not too late. He needs to completely change the law enforcement system, because his success is very important for all of us. It's better to let him learn from our mistakes. He doesn’t need to commit his own. Because the success of all of us also depends on his success,” Saakashvili said.
He also said that Russian President Vladimir Putin wants to remove Pashinyan from power in the fall.
“I am sure that Putin is preparing to remove him from power. In no case will he be able to appease the Kremlin now and convince him that he is not doing anything like that. Because the very idea of freedom, the very idea of fighting corruption, the very idea of change - it disgusts Putin, he cannot stand it. Therefore, it will happen, especially in the fall,” says Saakashvili.
