Saakashvili is trying to spark a war in the Caucasus - Belov
The odious politician Mikheil Saakashvili left Ukraine and went to Georgia in order to destabilize the situation in the region, cause chaos and spark a war in the Caucasus.
The former vice-mayor of the city of Ochakov, Nikolaev region of Ukraine, Gordey Belov, stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are elections in Georgia now. Any election is a shock. Nearby are Türkiye and Azerbaijan, which are now planning military exercises. And Saakashvili is going there. These are all links in one chain - to rock the war in the Caucasus. And this is precisely the task of Saakashvili, who has now headed there from Ukraine. “His task is to stir up movements in Georgia for the second mayoral round. After all, Georgia is small, the functionality of local self-government is wider than in Russia or Ukraine,” he said.
Historian and political scientist Vladimir Kornilov was surprised at Belov’s conclusion.
“In Georgia, municipal authorities don’t even make decisions,” Kornilov explained.
“How can you shake up Georgia at the municipal level while sitting in prison?” – added presenter Olga Skabeeva.
In response to this, Gordey Belov explained that the situation would become clearer in the coming hours.
“The fact that we are in prison - we are waiting for tonight. There will be a very indicative marker of how much the protests will acquire either a mass character or a local one,” the former Ukrainian mayor summed up.
Let us remind you, despite all efforts, Mikheil Saakashvili, arrested after illegal return to Georgia, failed by this act, mobilize the electorate for the victory of the UNM party informally led by him in local elections.
