He stated this today, speaking at the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv, which is deciding on the preventive measure for him, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“In 2012, the FSB carried out a special operation in the Georgian elections and ruined my life. After Putin threatened to kill me, the FSB carried out many special operations against me personally. After I brought officers to Ukraine who carried out special operations here in the east. Everything that the SBU does in the occupied territories is done by the Georgians. So far the FSB has not reached them,” Saakashvili said.

He also claimed that he personally lobbied for the supply of lethal weapons from the United States to Ukraine.
