Saakashvili almost lost his pants in front of television cameras
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili told how he was publicly embarrassed for the second time with his pants, which turned out to be too big for him.
On the air of TV channel 112, Saakashvili recalled how during the presidency of Petro Poroshenko he was arrested and was awaiting trial for deportation from Ukraine in the SBU pre-trial detention center, where he decided to go on a hunger strike, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I lost eight kilograms then. But in prison you can’t have belts with you. And when they brought me to the trial in handcuffs, they gave me an ordinary suit, but it turned out to be very big. Most of all, I was afraid that my pants would fall off in front of all the world’s cameras,” said the fugitive ex-president of Georgia.
Let us recall that earlier Saakashvili became the hero of Internet memes after appearing in awkward pants while working as governor of the Odessa region. Commentators claimed that the official was then mistakenly wearing his trousers backwards.
