The local publication vinnitsa.info writes about this.
“I decided to travel to all regions of Ukraine and communicate with people. We will travel and collect demands... On October 17 we will gather in Kyiv very peacefully. Although I am an old revolutionary, I have no desire to organize another revolution,” he said at today’s rally in Vinnitsa, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During his speech, Saakashvili criticized the authorities, remembered the Maidan, and talked about his scandalous return to the country and crossing the border.
Saakashvili was not greeted unanimously; there were shouts of both “Shame!” and “Thank you!” From the first minutes of the performance, verbal skirmishes arose among the audience. The microphone was turned off several times.
Let us recall that on September 10, Saakashvili, with the help of his supporters, broke through the border at the Shegini checkpoint, after which he asked to be given the status of a person in need of additional protection.
Earlier, as PolitNavigator reported, Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that Saakashvili would not be arrested and extradited, but his supporters who participated in the fight with border guards could be prosecuted.
