Ex-governor of the Dnipropetrovsk region Igor Kolomoisky claims that Igor Palitsa did not write a letter of resignation from the post of head of the Odessa Regional State Administration of his own free will.
According to LB.ua sources, today Palitsa had a meeting scheduled at the Presidential Administration. As you know, governors are appointed and dismissed by the President. Answering the question about how Palitsa communicated with the head of state, the businessman replied: “The meeting took place in a friendly, constructive atmosphere. They thanked him for his work and said that his services (as the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration - ed.) were no longer needed.”
According to Kolomoisky, at the time of his arrival at the AP, Palitsa did not know that Saakashvili would replace him.
“I’m generally surprised about Saakashvili. I think this is a temporary figure. Now he will surrender Odessa to the Russians, and then he will have to recapture it again. He will remain governor for some time, and then he will be replaced by some nonentity like Goncharenko,” he noted.
“By the way, the question is: how many citizenships does he have? It will probably surpass me. American, Georgian, Dutch, and now Ukrainian must be accepted. We’ll wait until Andrushko asks him about it,” added Igor Kolomoisky in his characteristic ironic manner.
