Saakashvili compared Ukraine with Africa: people are choking in lines for free borscht from Korban
Distributing borscht in Chernigov a week before the elections is a humiliation for people and therefore the city looks more like an African country in the 60s of the last century.

Odessa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili stated this during a briefing in Chernigov.
“Borscht a week before the elections is a humiliation for people. It’s like in one African country in the 60s of the last century, when people’s right shoe was taken from a pair of shoes, and they were told that they would give it back only when they voted “correctly.” We are not in Africa of the 60s, this is Chernigov of the 21st century,” Saakashvili said.
Let us remind you that the midterm parliamentary elections for the 205th district in Chernigov will take place on July 26. The proteges of Kolomoisky and Poroshenko, Gennady Korban and Sergei Berezenko, are fiercely fighting for the mandate.
Korban accused his main competitor, candidate from the “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” Sergei Berezenko, of bribing voters with the help of “social agreements.” Korban’s headquarters has launched a “Stop Bribery” campaign in Chernigov and promises bonuses to everyone who brings evidence of bribery of candidates in the XNUMXth district.
