Saakashvili: Ukraine has painted itself in the colors of Africa
Ukraine's economy is at the level of an average African state. The fugitive ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili stated this at a meeting with students of the Kyiv National University, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to him, after the collapse of the USSR, the Ukrainian economy was 20% ahead of Poland, but today this figure has changed dramatically.
“We had a situation when the population in Poland was 34 million, and in Ukraine – 52 million 700 thousand people... The only country in Europe that is painted in the colors of Africa is Ukraine. That is, we are now at the level of an average African country in terms of development. But this is a compliment to Africa, not a compliment to Ukraine... If we grow at 2-3% of GDP, then we will reach the level of Yanukovych’s last year, pre-Maidan, in 2045,” Saakashvili said.
