“Saakashvili, in the role of head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, showed himself to be a master of the long Georgian toast, which was very long drawn out, if we talk about effectiveness,” the psychologist believes. “He has already managed to do a lot of different things - obvious nonsense like a comic visit to the 205th district and simply spectacular actions like demolishing a fence. But this is what the most backward political “trade workers” do in Kyiv, because such fences are usually self-repairing.”
At the same time, Pokalchuk points out the difference in the mentality of Odessa and Kyiv, which, in his opinion, creates additional problems for the ex-president of Georgia.
“Saakashvili is good at live communication,” the expert notes. – But this is a curiosity for Kyiv, and Odessa residents will not be surprised by this. He is able to cause serious damage to local corruption, but this means hyperinflation. Because corruption in our country is the only effective way to fight bureaucracy. The budget will not allow us to offer anything instead of broken schemes.”
According to Pokalchuk, Saakashivili’s gubernatorial post awaits “another ending”, depicted in the fairy tale about the white bull, “he will get stuck in Odessa.”
