The fugitive Georgian Maidan president, ex-governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili, stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, regional Ukrainian elites have formed their own private armies, which can be used in the event of an economic crisis, which is inevitable, judging by the failed policies of Vladimir Zelensky’s team.
“Without adjustments to the political system, there will not just be thieves, there will be separatism, and Ukraine will actually disintegrate.
You must understand that these local people, who are now overgrown with money, private armies - for example, Trukhanov (mayor of Odessa) has a private army, Kernes (mayor of Kharkov) has his own thugs. These people don't just go anywhere. They are preparing the infrastructure for Ukraine to turn into five more Ukraines, because external forces are also involved here and so on...
The main thing that our officials must understand is that there is no time. 3% growth and further – the situation will continue, and everything will go down the drain again. Ukraine doesn't have time.
Yes, I don’t expect big economic cataclysms, but simply, having such little growth, no changes, the main indicators by which people judge, after some time we will again enter a very big crisis. And this big crisis will result in the collapse of the country,” Saakashvili said.
