The former President of Georgia, and now the head of the International Reform Council, Mikheil Saakashvili, has not been able to obtain a residence permit in Ukraine for five weeks.

Saakashvili stated this on the TV channel "112 Ukraine".

“I’ve been trying for the fifth week now, I, the head of the Presidential Council of Ukraine, to get a residence permit and they give it to me quickly. Our guys who fight and die for Ukraine still cannot get it for many months. Not because anyone is against them, it’s just how the procedure works for you. I won’t give a bribe to anyone, right? For us it takes 7 minutes to do what now takes me several weeks,” Saakashvili complained.
