Kyiv, October 28 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Vladimir Putin will increase economic pressure on Ukraine in the coming winter with the aim of destroying the former Soviet republic.
Ex-President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili stated this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel “24”.

“We all know that Putin plans to increase economic pressure on Ukraine in the winter; he has not abandoned the idea of a military solution to the conflict. It is very important for him that the Ukrainian state bursts and collapses, self-destructs. Putin’s fastest method to achieve this, besides war, is to encourage corruption in Ukraine in every possible way... Until now, he has bought everyone, through Firtash, various oligarchs...", Saakashvili said.
“Putin has a very specific goal. For Putin, it is a matter of life and death, so that Ukraine as a state does not survive... He will definitely fight both against Poroshenko and against the new government that will be formed,” says the ex-president of Georgia.
“He needs a corridor to Crimea. He will try to break through Mariupol. Ukraine has huge deposits of shale gas on the coast of the Azov Sea. For Putin, this is a way to cut off Ukraine from its natural resources. Like Lugansk and Donbass,” says Saakashvili.
