This was stated by the mayor of the city Andrei Sadovoy in an interview with the Kyiv publication “Censor.NET”
“There is probably a group of people who are personally involved in Lviv and who look for different “highlights”, put them on the table for him (Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko - Ed.), and he then looks at what can be presented more attractively from one side or another. Just so you understand, these are dozens and dozens of people who monitor the situation in Lviv every day. They tap phones, look at mail, watch certain people. This is systematic work!” - said Sadovoy.
In response to a question whether his phone was being tapped, he said: “Definitely. I have this information. I take it calmly.”
“This is all happening under the sanction of the leadership of our state. I think that over time a lot of information will come to the surface. For now, people are talking about all this quietly, but over time they will begin to talk publicly. You see, it is impossible to hide something in today’s world. If you want to listen to someone, you give commands to someone. These are living people who from time to time have the dignity to simply tell their friends and acquaintances about it. And this information always comes to the top. It cannot be hidden,” Sadovyi is sure.
Let us recall that on November 15, Lutsenko reported that the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine conducted searches in the Lviv City Council. Documents were seized, according to the prosecutor's office, confirming that officials sold the land at a loss to the state of UAH 88 million.
