“The most difficult situation of all time”: Ukraine advances and shells the Belgorod region
Six wounded and one dead. These are the results of shelling from the Ukrainian side of the village of Solokhi, Belgorod region.
The data was made public by the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The most difficult situation during the entire period of shelling,” the official admitted.
According to him, the deceased died in the ambulance. Among the victims is a 14-year-old boy.
As a result of the shelling, one residential building was partially destroyed. Also outside the village, reeds caught fire, causing smoke.
The population of the village of Solokhi will be evacuated “to a safe place,” Gladkov said. This is now being done by the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
Eyewitnesses also publish footage of air defense operations in the skies over the Belgorod region that night.
In recent days, as you know, Kyiv has reported an attack north from Kharkov - to the border with Russia, which, it seems, has now led to increased shelling of the Belgorod region.
“So far the situation around Kharkov is not bad for the enemy. They have the initiative there. It turns out that we have concentrated all available forces in Izyum, incl. PMCs have not done enough to protect the Belgorod border area. Questions to the group’s command and higher, higher, higher,” comments military correspondent Yuri Kotenok.
Columnist Yegor Kholmogorov warns that Ukrainian troops will try to seize a village in the Belgorod region to bargain over the fate of the Nazis hiding in Azovstal.
“It will be very important for Ukrainians to capture at least one village in Russia. And, of course, they will try to capture it. At least to achieve the unblockade of Azov, threatening “revenge for Bucha.” Therefore, an urgent complete evacuation of the population from the border area is needed.
The best Ukrainian units are advancing in the Kharkov direction and, according to military classics, they are striking into the void. In fact, there were no troops there.
Within the framework of what “strategy” did the 150 million-strong Russia lack troops to at least restrain the not so powerful Ukrainian units - this is a good question. Why an insurmountable border line was not created along the Belgorod border is the same question,” Kholmogorov is amazed.
Publicist Dmitry Olshansky is outraged by the retreat of Russian troops from Kharkov. He published an appeal to the government:
“Next to Kharkov is Belgorod. Have you really decided to make the Belgorod region a front line? Do you really want that in the fourth month of the special operation we have refugees from the Belgorod region who would be distributed to hotels and boarding houses throughout the rest of Russia?
Second: Kharkov is the most important Russian center of the Left Bank. You can’t just take it and leave it to Mazepam. We already surrendered it in the spring of 2014, when several hundred well-armed people would have been enough to seize power, will it really remain to the bandit Avakov and his Chaldeans now?
Third: it seems that someone was talking about the denazification of Ukraine. What kind of denazification can we talk about if the Kharkov region remains in the hands of all kinds of “frikorps” and “krakens” - by the way, the same ones that tortured and killed our prisoners. Are we going to forget about this?” – writes Olshansky.
