A plane from a NATO member country invaded the airspace of Belarus
A Latvian AN-2 plane violated the Belarusian border this morning.
This was reported by the State Border Committee of Belarus, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The AN-2 light aircraft flew into Belarusian territory to a depth of 300 meters and, after flying around the Urbana checkpoint, returned to Latvia,” the report says.
This is not the first case of violation of Belarusian airspace. Thus, on December 4, 2021, a Ukrainian helicopter flew into the country in the area of the Novaya Rudnya checkpoint, and on January 24 of this year, a border violation was recorded in the area of the village of Khmelishche, Maloritsky district, by a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle.
“The regimes in our neighboring countries in the West and South really need a casus belli and a “small victorious war”, at worst in Riga a new reason for sanctions will do. You need to somehow justify your economic and transit degradation to your society and NATO “patrons.” So they fly.
To paraphrase the President of Belarus: “Some (in Vilnius) jump, the second and third (in Riga and Kyiv) fly,” the chairman of the Belarusian Union of Journalists commented on the interview in his Telegram channel. Andrey Krivosheev.
