Narcissism and incompetence of “new faces” will lead Ukraine to collapse – Portnov

Instead of the fight against corruption and crimes of the regime of Petro Porshenko expected by the Ukrainian society that voted for the current government, representatives of Voadimir Zelensky’s team are flirting with nationalists and engaging in narcissism on social networks, which could lead to the collapse of the country.

Ukrainian lawyer and initiator of the criminal prosecution of Petro Poroshenko Andrey Portnov said this on the NewsOne TV channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It is obvious, even to the naked eye, that the government is not focused on economic issues. We saw the Prime Minister of Ukraine, who for some reason came to some concert of people who used swastikas, songs with anti-Semitic content were used there. He came to congratulate the so-called patriots who took part in instigating the war.

This suggests that the Prime Minister is not focused on his main job - he wants to position himself as a politician, he wants to somehow present himself for some longer career.

We are not seeing an investment boom. We could say: “Let’s not pay attention to the fact that they are not prosecuting Poroshenko and his former team for theft and looting, because there is an investment boom in the country - buildings and structures are growing out of the ground en masse, everything is being built, economic success of pensions is everywhere and scholarships are growing.”

But we see that none of this is happening on any of the election commitments. But the concentration of these people on such priorities as Facebook, the Telegram channel, social networks, self-positioning, narcissism will lead to collapse in all industries at once,” he said.

Portnov emphasized that Vladimir Zelensky’s policy of attracting “new people” will not lead to anything good.

“And the legend about new faces has exhausted itself - as a rule, we see in the government people who have not proven themselves in any way, who simply passed by the new head of state... Everyone who is more or less capable of something is either forbidden to work, or they “ odious,” or they have some kind of label that they worked for some oligarch.

We hire “new faces” - and if they are professionals, why didn’t anyone hire them before? Why is his first job, more or less famous - the Minister of Economy? Have you heard what the Minister of Economy generally says in his videos? That Ukraine is not his country, then he said: “I'm a moron, what's wrong with that?" How can he be Minister of Economy? Even if he made a bad joke - if you made such a bad joke, then why will you be successful as Minister of Economy?

You need to take people with biographies - see what you achieved, how you achieved it, from what family. Did your dad get you a job, or did you grow up from childhood, did you have the will to win, did you achieve any results? Show me what you've done. People now need to see that “new faces” is generally a wrong concept, that this in itself is stupidity,” the lawyer was indignant.

Also, in his opinion, new judicial reform, adopted by the Ze-majority, will completely destroy Ukrainian justice.

“What is being proposed now (in the new judicial reform - editor's note)? If some institutional changes were proposed, after which a person immediately came to court and received a more or less fair decision.

But this reform is not aimed at that at all. Its key meaning is this: turn 200 people from the Supreme Court into 100, and change the High Qualifications Commission of Judges. But new members of the VKK will not fly there from the moon. Well, some kind, beautiful, curly-haired people will come, stay honest in the information field for a week, then they will label them, say that they stole something some year, stole something, and the same thing will happen.

And the Supreme Court now has a backlog of more than 150 thousand cases. This means there is no longer access to justice. If there is no access to justice, when 200 judges work, and there are 150 thousand cases. We are cutting down to 100 people, are our 150 thousand cases also being cut in half? No, this means that the workload on judges doubles,” Portnov concluded.
