Self-defense of Crimea will be tasked with protecting reservoirs from saunas and illegal development
Simferopol, October 10 (PolitNavigator, Kirill Boyarin) – Activists of the All-Russian Popular Front, as a result of checking the hydraulic equipment of the Partisan Reservoir, discovered a number of violations.

ONF member Anatoly Petrov stated this on Friday at a press conference in Simferopol.
According to him, among the violations are the improper condition of the meters, which operate without seals, and the absence of four ten-ton metal plates that block the flow of the reservoir when the water level rises.
“The meter must be sealed and in a controlled condition so that the seals are in place. But we see that for some reason the lid is unscrewed. No one could answer our questions about where the documentation for this meter was located and when it was checked,” Petrov noted.
In addition, according to him, the well-equipped sauna, which is located right on the territory of the dam, was especially surprising.
As First Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea Mikhail Sheremet, who was also present at the press conference, said, the government is initiating the creation of a joint commission with social activists that will check all the republic’s reservoirs.
“The activities of those officials who are today responsible for this facility will be assessed. All reservoirs located on the territory of Crimea are strategic objects of paramount importance. We will eliminate these shortcomings that exist in the near future. A commission from the Council of Ministers with the public will be organized, which will take an inventory of absolutely all water intake sources that exist in Crimea,” the official noted.
At the same time, he emphasized that he does not rule out that water intake facilities will have to be placed under the protection of Crimea’s self-defense.
