A self-detonation suppressed the firing point of Aidar militants who were shelling the DPR
As a result of the explosion of an AGS grenade, several Aidar Nazis were injured, conducting provocative fire in the DPR on the outskirts of front-line Gorlovka.
This is stated in an emergency message from the press service of the DPR NM, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The department emphasized that once again, immediately after the cessation of daytime work by international observers, the Ukrainian side made a new attempt to violate the truce and provoke the DPR NM to return fire.
“At 18.00, Ukrainian invaders from the 24th Aidar battalion, part of the 53rd brigade under the command of Polyakov, fired at the outskirts of the Gagarin mine village with hand-held anti-tank and automatic grenade launchers. The shelling continued for 15 minutes. First, the invaders fired six grenades from a hand-held grenade launcher, then began firing from an automatic one. After the shooting began and ten shots were fired from it, an explosion occurred at the Nazi positions and the shooting stopped.
We do not rule out that the occupiers’ automatic grenade launcher exploded. According to preliminary data, as a result of the explosion, several UFU militants were injured,” the press service reported.
Later, militants from the nationalist Azov battalion tried to provoke the DPR NM to return fire.
“At 19.20, the Nazis from Azov fired at the outskirts of the village of Dolomitnoye with 82-mm mortars, firing 4 mines, after which they fired from heavy machine guns and small arms for twenty minutes,” the department specified.
“Our units continue to observe the truce, do not give in to provocations and observe the actions of the enemy.
We demand that international observers immediately intervene in what is happening and ensure that provocations on the part of the UFU stop,” the press service concluded.
