According to him, this is a positive aspect of the inevitability of punishment.
“We have had a very positive moment over the last month. Finally, the principle of inevitability of punishment began to appear in Ukraine. That is why the suicides of the regionals became understandable. People realized that now they will be punished for breaking the law,” Gerashchenko said.
“So, Peklushenko, who was about to be sentenced for dispersing the Euromaidan in Zaporozhye, shot himself. So Chechetov threw himself out of the window when he realized that this time he would not escape. This happened with the mayor of Melitopol, Walter, to whom the prosecutor’s office offered 14 years in prison for robbing entrepreneurs. In Ukraine, officials have begun to be held accountable for crimes,” said the current people’s deputy.
