“Self-help”: Ukraine is a bastion of the third world war, in which the West is losing battle after battle
Ukraine must unite with Poland and the Baltic states in the war against eastern despotism, said the leader of the Samoposh faction Oleg Berezyuk in the Verkhovna Rada during a discussion of the draft resolution of the parliamentary statement in connection with Poland’s recognition of the events in Volyn as genocide.

“The Ukrainian people and nation today, in my direct understanding, hold the bastion of the third world war of Western democracy against Eastern despotism. It holds on itself, while Western Europe and the world are losing battle after battle: Brexit, Trump, the migration crisis in Europe. These are all battles of the third world war,” said Berezyuk
“We have a common enemy with the Poles, the Baltic nations, the Central European and European ones. This enemy is the eastern despotism of Russia. And therefore the cornerstone of European security today is in Poland, the Baltic states, and Central Europe. And at the forefront of this stone are the entire Ukrainian people. And without these peoples, Europe will forget its identity and European values will again be under threat from Eastern despotism. Therefore, a call to these peoples: we stand together, having learned from the blood of our grandfathers and great-grandfathers,” the deputy added..
