Simferopol, October 1 (PolitNavigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The famous clock tower at the Simferopol railway station, which has become one of the calling cards of Crimea, may be disfigured by an advertising structure. Member of the Public Chamber of Crimea Natalya Kiseleva told a PolitNavigator correspondent about this.

According to her, the project of an advertising structure, which consists of a wide-format LED screen, is an “ugliness” that has no place on an architectural monument. At the same time, the project was approved by the Public Chamber.
“Formally, the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage, according to the law, has no reason not to allow the placement of this structure, because supposedly nothing is being violated there. But this is formal. But excuse me, this is a monument and, thus, it can be disfigured. Well, let’s hang such advertisements on all the towers,” noted Natalya Kiseleva.
The State Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of the Republic has not yet been able to comment on the technical characteristics of this project and its future fate, but promised to provide information later.
