“The biggest suckers on the planet”: Groysman was embarrassed, promising Ukraine unprecedented growth
Ukrainian experts are ridiculing today's statement by Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, who promised unprecedented economic growth in the coming years.
“The economy is growing. We are planning 3% growth for next year... we can become the most dynamic economy on the continent. Growth should be 5-7%. We can do this,” Groysman said today at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

The prime minister’s words are fantasy and unrealistic promises, comments Alexander Skubchenko, head of the Housing Union of Ukraine.
The expert recalls that earlier the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Natalya Yaresko, agreed to enslaving conditions for deferring the repayment of loans taken.
“Let me remind you of some of the conditions for restructuring Ukraine’s debt from Yaresko. Under these conditions, when GDP growth exceeds 3% per year, we will pay creditors a portion of such growth: 15% of the excess of 3%, and 40% of the portion exceeding 4%. That is, with GDP growth, for example, by 5%, we will give away about 100 billion hryvnia per year at today’s figures. This is in addition to the debt itself and the interest on it. And so on until 2040.
We will become not the largest economy on the continent, but the biggest suckers on the planet. Thanks to such “specialists” as Groysman, who do not serve the interests of Ukraine, but serve the interests of their overseas masters,” Skubchenko noted.
